The conference is being held at Sydney Town Hall 483 George Street, Sydney 2000. We are using the Lower Town Hall which can be accessed via the Druitt Street entrance directly opposite to the Queen Victoria Building. We will have ushers on hand to direct you incase you go to the main entrance by accident.
Sydney Town Hall is very easy to get to via public transport.
Train is the easiest option with Town Hall Station directly below the venue.

There is no car parking available at Sydney Town Hall however there are a number of public parking stations within easy reach of the venue. If you are intending to drive do be aware that public parking can be expensive in the city on weekdays, however discounted weekend rates are generally available. We will not be mailing conference packs. On the first day of your attendance you will need to register at the IYTA Registration Desk where you will be issued with a wristband designating your level of attendance and a conference bag containing a printed version of the conference program and other material.

Early Morning Yoga (EMY) classes are being held at 07:00 - 08:00 each morning of the conference on the Marconi Terrace of Sydney Town Hall. The Terrace can be accessed from Druitt Street and ushers will be stationed to assist. Please ensure you arrive 10 minutes prior to the scheduled start time to avoid disrupting the class once it has commenced. The classes will also be open to the general public. Some mats will be provided, please bring your own if possible. In the event of bad weather EMY will be held in the conference hall.
If you are attending the EMY class on Friday, please complete your onsite registration for the conference after the class has finished.
Each day of the EMY participants will be asked to complete a very short indemnity form which willl enter you in the draw to win one LovEarth Eco Yoga Mat and bag Value $90 and a Yoga Hive 5 x class pass - Value $60.

All of the conference sessions will include participation, movement and yoga poses. Wear comfortable clothes so you can join in.
The conference hall floor space will be layed out with pre-loved mats. If you prefer to use your own mat feel free to bring that along to lay over the top however the pre-laid mats can not be moved.
We will have a number of chairs available if you are not comfortable to sit on a mat for an extended period.
We will have a limited number of bolsters available for loan & sale, however if it is practical for you to do so feel free to bring any props that are important to you.
Feel free to bring your favourite mat to lay over the top of the pre-loved mats that will be provided. We will have a limited number of loan bolsters available and Yoga King will have a number of high quality organic cotton bolsters for sale, otherwise bring what you find comfortable to be on the floor.

To keep costs down we are not providing any catering, however our sponsor Kangen Water will be providing ionised alkaline water via a number of water fill stations at the venue. Water bottles can also be refilled from taps in the venue bathrooms.
Sydney Town Hall is surrounded by many cafes and take aways. The Queen Victoria Building Food Hall is directly across the road, Woolworths and China Town are within 2 mins walk and there are cafe's directly under the Town Hall in Town Hall Station Arcade. Alternatively you can bring your own and utilise the outdoor seating areas around the Town Hall including St Andrew's Square.
Wireless internet will not be provided.
A cloakroom is available however it will not be manned so anything left will be at your own risk. You will be able to leave any bags inside the conference hall.
Yes 3 day attendance will earn 20 CPD points, 2 day attendance 13 CPD points and 1 day attendance 6.5 CPD points.
A Certificate of Attendance will be emailed to you immediately after the Conference.
The conference hall and all other conference areas can be reached via an accessible path of travel. Accessible unisex toilet facilities are also available.
Yes, Lower Town Hall is fitted with a hearing loop system.
You are welcome to leave your mat and props in the conference hall overnight. The Hall will be locked however you leave things at your own risk.

Registrations cannot be shared. If you are unable to attend, you may send a substitute in your place. Substitutions must be notification in writing prior to the start of the conference - contact us to advise.
Registrations cannot be shared amongst multiple people and only the person that has specifically registered will be admitted. If you are forced to cancel entirely, you may transfer your registration to someone else prior to the start of the conference by notifying us in writing - contact us to advise.
You won’t want to miss our final session by International Emmy award winning singer/songwriter Toni Childs from 14:00 - 16:00. Toni's session will be followed by a brief closing ceremony and the official conference close is at 16:30. Please kindly schedule your travel arrangements after the close of the Conference.
Yes, will have IYTA 50 year anniversary drink bottles and anniversary lapel pins available for purchase at the IYTA Info desk in the main conference hall. We will also be auctioning off some old IYTA archive books including books from Roma Blair at the IYTA archive desk during Sunday lunch break. There will also be sponsor and presenter tables with items for sale such as bolsters, leggings, books etc. Please bring cash or there are plenty of ATMs around the venue.

Welcome drink service and onsite check-in commences at 18:45 and formal proceeding start at 19:00.
STUDIO Sydney Tower is located in Westfield Sydney, (Identified by Sydney CentrePoint Tower) between Pitt & Castlereagh Street. It is less than 10 minutes walk from the conference venue. The closest train Station is St James.
To access the venue - enter the shopping centre on Castlereagh Street near to the corner of Market Street. The entrance is flanked by PRADA on one side and MIU MIU on the other. Take the escalator 1 level up and you will see Sydney Tower lift lobby, which looks like a goldfish bowl, on the left close to CHANEL. We will have ushers on hand to assist.
Smart attire - evening dress not required. However many will be taking the opportunity to wear their Indian outfits.
